Astronauts are limited in weight when they fly to the Moon.

Accordingly, a new space suit "Sokol-M" for astronauts weighing 10kg is being built. To meet the flight requirements, the astronauts' weight does not exceed 70kg. Meanwhile, currently, candidates with an average weight of 50-90kg are being accepted by Russia to participate in the Moon research project.

By the end of October 2019, advanced robot technology to support the crew in the ambitious Russian project was tested. After that, flights at Russian automatic space stations to the Moon were also carried out.

According to the plan, the Orel spacecraft will fly into orbit by 2023. By 2030, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos plans to land on the lunar surface.
