Australia is about to have the world's first commercial passenger transport aircraft
Roei Ganzarski, CEO of MagniX, said electric cars are now a trend that can be seen in Australia and many other countries around the world.
Australia's MagniX airline has announced it will be the 'Tesla of the aviation sector' with the ambition to first introduce electric aircraft for commercial transport purposes instead of gasoline-powered aircraft.
4 years is the time that MagniX makes in order to achieve its goals.
Roei Ganzarski, CEO of MagniX, said electric cars are now a trend that can be seen in Australia and many other countries around the world. Roei Ganzarski believes that his company will be at the forefront of the next transport revolution named electric aircraft.
In fact, there are now electric aircraft with small size and mainly for the main flight training. Roei Ganzarski himself visited his office with a test electric aircraft recently produced by his company.
MagniX from Australia puts the ambition to lead the electric aircraft market in the future.
"We were able to develop an electric motor that would allow an aircraft to transport between 9 and 15 passengers in a distance of 160 to 1,600km although with today's battery technology there are still limitations for use in long flights , 'emphasized Roei Ganzarski.
MagniX recently tested an electric motor attached to the fuselage of a Cessna Caravan. Mr. Ganzarski said the experiment was carried out in a specially designed space in Arundel.
"The next important event will be in the fall of 2019, we will have the first test flight with the same aircraft that uses our engine," said Roei Ganzarski.
In fact, there are many other companies around the world that are also developing small electric motors, but Mr. Ganzarski said his engineers have developed a larger engine, with a quality cooling system. The built-in liquid helps to increase the performance of the engine better.
However, another problem besides battery technology problem is the issue of ticket price with electric aircraft in the future also being calculated carefully by MagniX to be able to compete with rival and traditional airlines. .

'When you can fly on an electric plane with an 80% lower fare and it is a certified and closely monitored aircraft by the authorities, why not try to fly on is it? ' , CEO of MagniX expected.
MagniX is actually not the only company that is set to take the lead in the future of the electric aircraft market. Not long ago, Boeing and Jetblue Airways said that in 2022, it will launch small-sized aircraft using electric motors, which can accommodate 12 passengers at low prices. The new project is funded by Boeing and JetBlue Airways venture capital fund.
In addition, MagniX also faces other competition from a company called Zunum Aero. The company said its aircraft will be equipped with two electric motors, which can accommodate 12 passengers. Its advantages are electric battery technology and artificial intelligence to avoid obstacles.
Zunum revealed that it will use Tesla and Panasonic batteries. An engine using additional fuel and a generator is also equipped for the aircraft to ensure it does not fall even when the battery runs out. The flight distance is estimated to be over 1,000km, the flight speed is 550km / h.
