Big breast syndrome attacks German soldiers

One breast of many male guards in Germany bulged and reached the size of a woman's breast.

Dozens of soldiers in a police unit called Wachbataillon reported to the commanding officer that their left chest bulged like a woman's chest. After the test, doctors concluded that 35 soldiers - equivalent to 74% of the members - in the Wachbataillon guard unit had a female mastectomy on one side.

Experts say these soldiers' left chests thrive because they often hit guns on the left chest during training and receiving foreign guests. That action stimulated the development of hormones on the left breast, causing the left chest to swell, Medical Daily reported.

Gynecomastia is a mammary development disorder in men. The manifestation of the disease is that the male mammary gland develops too strong compared to the normal level. The disease can affect one or both breasts. It is a normal physiological phenomenon in boys during puberty (the disease disappears after 1-2 years). When you put your hand on your chest, a woman with gynecomastia will feel a solid, dull ache and can produce milk. If the disease changes to a chronic form, the affected person will not feel pain anymore.

The medical community points to many causes of gynecomastia in men - including the imbalance of sex hormones, thyroid disease, abdominal tumors, liver disease and kidneys, the effects of some medications for a long time (such as anti-stomach pain, depression, tuberculosis). However, about 25% of patients with idiopathic mammary gland disease (doctors do not find the cause).
