A farmer in Hoa Binh just caught a strange fish with a strange shape. The leading expert in freshwater fish speculation could be the Ophicephalidae snakehead family.

A farmer in Hoa Binh just caught a strange fish with a strange shape. The leading expert in freshwater fish speculation could be the Ophicephalidae snakehead family.

Bui Van Nguyen, in Don village, My Hoa commune, Tan Lac district while pumping spring water, found a strange fish lying in the mud.

"The fish is very strong, so I called two neighbors to come and catch it, 30 minutes later we could bring the fish up , " Nguyen recalls.

Slippery fish have a snake-like head, and their tail and tail are like fish. The fish is 1,14m long, weighs 4.2kg. The strange thing is that it has a tongue like a pig tongue, according to Hoa Binh Newspaper.

Many people in Don village said that they have never seen such fish in the past. They suspect it is a comb.

Professor Nguomdoli BK of the Nhezdoli BK Center of the Viet Nga Tropical Center, when he looked at the picture, was surprised because the first time he saw the fish. However, the world's leading expert in freshwater fish surmises, the fish may belong to the Ophicephalidae snakehead family.

"To determine the name and species of species that need specific samples ," Mr. Nhezdoli BK said.

The snakehead family lives mainly in the bottom layer, distributed in most lakes and rivers and streams in Vietnam. The family has two genera: Channa is known for 29 species and Parachanna now has 3 species in Africa. In Vietnam, mainly Channa maculata and Channa argus.

According to Wikipedia, the Channa maculata snakehead has the same pattern as the "best" and two "bowls" and Channa argus fish head is relatively pointed and long like a snake head. Their heads are flat against the body, the scales are gray-brown veins mixed with pale gray areas, the back is blackish-brown.
