Causes of back pain

Back pain is a symptom of a medical condition and cannot be diagnosed. Here are the causes of back pain:

' Machine ' malfunction

Some problem makes the spine unable to keep its structure as usual. The most common problem often leads to back pain as spinal disc degenerative disease. The culprit is due to age, causing the disc to lose its elasticity. This problem itself does not cause back pain, it only leads to back pain if the back is under pressure.

Another problem with back pain is contractions, muscle tension and protrusion of the disc (ie, the glue of the disc that escapes and presses on the nerve root, spinal cord. Understanding is simply the condition of the disc protruding from the normal position, between the vertebrae.

Injury

Bone fractures are usually caused by osteoporosis.

Less common is back pain due to injuries after an accident or fall.

Disease and body changes

Many sicknesses can cause or increase back pain. It is scoliosis (the spine is bent and only causes back pain when entering middle age), sliding vertebrae (congenital), arthritis .

Other causes can cause back pain such as pregnancy, kidney stones, endometriosis, body aches and pains.

Inflammation and tumors

Although it is not a common cause of back pain, inflammation can be a culprit if it occurs in the spine, osteomyelitis, or when it enters the intervertebral disc between the two vertebrae.

Tumors, too, rarely cause back pain. Lumps may appear in the back but often they are metastatic malignant tumors.

Although the causes of back pain mostly come from the body itself, it is important to remember that stress can cause back pain and prolong this condition. Stress can affect the body in many ways, including pain in the back muscles, making people feel pain and uncomfortable tension.
