Derived from comet remnant Swift-Tutle, meteor shower Perseids takes place from July 17 to August 24 every year, reaching a maximum on the night of 12th and 12th August.

This year, the peak of the Perseids meteor shower coincides with the crescent moon of the month so the observation is slightly affected. However, the moon set early, so after midnight, observations would be ideal if the weather conditions were favorable.

The observer headed to the northeast of the sky, where the constellation of Tien Tien was located, so the place was open, with little lighting and air pollution. Note, see the weather forecast before observing. If it is cloudy and has rain, the chance of observing meteor shower is very low.

After the meteor shower Perseids, in October, astronomers will have the opportunity to admire two other meteor showers: Draconids meteor shower and meteor shower Orionids. However, these are two small meteor showers.
