Countless people have sought to invent new types of electric bulbs in the past few years. LIFX, the name of a project published on kickstarter.com, is one such effort. Thanks to this project, a type of LED light bulb, also called LIFX, was born. Thanks to a 'brain' , a 'mother ' LIFX bulb can connect to Wi-Fi networks as well as 'child' LIFX bulbs. The light bulbs communicate with each other in a slightly different way than the parent bulb to create a network, Discovery reports.
By using a mobile phone software, one can control each light bulb or the whole network. The inventors claim that LIFX balls can change color because the diode emits red, blue and green light. The ball emits white light if three colors combine. When the brightness of each diode changes, other colors will appear.
Phil Bosua, the inventor of the LIFX ball, claims that each ball uses less than 10W of electricity and radiates the equivalent amount of light to a 60W power. At $ 69 each, it's cheaper than some high-end LED bulbs.
Electrical switches can also control the light bulb network. Therefore, if the landlord loses his mobile phone, they can still control them.

Kickstarter.com was born to help inventors complete their goals. It announced the amount needed for an idea to become a reality and called on donors to support the idea. After collecting enough money for an idea, the webmaster will transfer the money to the owner of the idea. If after a certain period of time the site does not collect enough money that the inventor requires, the administration will return the money to the contributors.
The goal of the LIFX project participants is to raise $ 100,000, but as of September 19, everyone contributed more than $ 830,000. The inventors said the test balls were born and the money they obtained would be used to produce large-scale LIFX balls.
LED, short for Light-Emitting-Diode, is a light source that glows when electric current impacts it. Operation of LED based on semiconductor technology. In a semiconductor diode block, electrons move from a state of high energy to a state of lower energy and this energy difference creates different forms of light. The color of the LED depends on the semiconductor compound and is characterized by the wavelength of the light emitted.
