Create Hiren disc Boot 8.5 with USB disk

Due to the popularity of USB disk and utility of Hiren's Bootcd toolkit, today I present how to make Hiren's boot 8.5 (or newer) with USB disk.

The steps are as follows:

- Step 1 : Set BootCD disk 8.5 or later to CD drive

- Step 2 : Start the computer with Hiren's Bootcd disk and select Start Mini Windows 98

- Step 3 : Copy Files from drive A: (Floppy Drive) use Explorer to folder C: USB and restart the computer in normal windows mode or if you do not see the hard drive from mini windows 98 then you need Copy to a blank floppy disk. Click Start> Turn Off> Exit to Dos and type in COPY A: *. * B:

Now remove the floppy disk from the drive and reboot the computer in normal Windows and insert the floppy disk into the drive and copy all the files to the C: USB folder.

- Step 4 : Download USB Disk Storage Format (34KB)

Note : USB Disk Storage Format Works on Winxp. With Windows 98, go to My computer, right-click on the USB Drive and select Format. You need a USB disk of 64MB or more.

- Step 5 : Copy all files (except IO.SYS; MSDOS.SYS; COMMAND.COM) from C: USB to USB drive.

- Step 6 : Copy DIRECTORY BOOTCD on Hiren's CD 8.5 to C: BOOTCD and then copy C: BOOTCD to the USB DISC.

- Step 7 : Run your USB disk check again.
