The protein and amino acid content of this potato strain is higher than that of conventional potatoes.

According to the scientists, the genetically modified potato can be easily accepted by the body, because the gene used for cultivating potatoes is taken from the genus - an edible plant.

Chickens are a very small broad-leafed plant, containing an AMA1 gene that plays an important role in increasing protein content and some basic amino acid types in stems and seeds.

Scientists have implanted the AMA1 gene into the genome of several varieties of potatoes and, after two years, cultivated a genetically modified potato strain containing a rich protein content.

Genetically modified potatoes have a protein content of 35-60% higher than conventional potatoes. In addition, lysine, tyrosine and sulfur content in transgenic potatoes is also very high.

After feeding wild mice and rabbits with genetically modified potatoes, the scientists did not detect abnormal phenomena.
