For many people, a big meal with all kinds of flavors is very tasty. But some foods are not included with other types, so when used incorrectly, people may not be able to absorb the nutrients in them, even with serious side effects.

Crabs and persimmons are a good example. When eating together they cause diarrhea.

Li Hongyan, a senior dietitian at Tongmai Food Corporation (Shanghai), introduced some notes about dishes:

Tofu and spinach

When eaten together, they affect calcium absorption and may lead to intestinal deposition. Spinach contains oxalic acid, which can react with calcium in intestine tofu and form insoluble calcium oxalate precipitates.

Milk and chocolate

You may not believe this, but milk and chocolate don't match. While milk is rich in protein and calcium, chocolate contains oxalic acid. When eaten together, they also form precipitates of calcium oxalate, which are undigested and can cause diarrhea.

Milk and grapefruit

The protein in milk can react with fresh acid in grapefruit and make the abdomen become bloated. If too much can cause diarrhea.

Yogurt with ham and smoked meat

Many people like to eat sandwiches with yogurt. However, ham and smoked meat in sandwiches when interacting with yogurt can cause cancer. To increase the shelf life of meat, producers supplement nitrate to prevent decomposition. But when nitrate encounters organic acids, it can turn into nitrosamine, a carcinogen.

Soy milk and eggs

Soy milk contains nutrients such as plant proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Drinking alone will be very nutritious. But if eaten with milk, it can produce a reaction that prevents the body from absorbing protein. Of course, eggs eaten alone are also very complementary.

Beef and chestnut

Both of these foods are good for the stomach. However, vitamin C-rich chestnuts can interact with trace elements in beef and reduce the nutrients of chestnuts. It is also not good for digestion and can cause indigestion.

Crab and tea

Tea contains many tannic acids such as persimmons, so it does not respond well to crab protein.

Shrimp and vitamin C

If you eat shrimp and at the same time eat lots of vitamin C on the same day, you may be in danger. Shrimp contain compounds that react with vitamin C to produce toxic arsenic.

White radish and carrots

Yeast in carrots can destroy vitamin C in white radish. For best nutrient absorption, eat them separately.
