Pizza-making robots can make and bake 300 pizzas an hour with minimal human support announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 , an American startup called Picnic (Seattle-based) introduces a fast-paced automatic pizza making system with minimal human interaction.

The system consists of three compact modular boards assembled into a conveyor belt, capable of pumping tomato sauce, spreading cheese and placing sausages. The robot arm then takes the newly formed pie into the oven.

Pizza is made with little or no human help. With maximum power, the robot can produce 300 pizzas 12 inches in diameter per hour.

According to CEO Clayton Wood, the robot's pizza production speed will quickly beat that traditional pizza shop that only produces about 250 units a day.

In terms of quality, Picnic wants CES attendees to know exactly what a pizza made by a robot should have made a "conference-style" pizza, typical of the items typically served at CES.

According to the founder, the pizza making robot is customizable and can change the output depending on the needs of the customer. That means pizza restaurant restaurants will be able to use robots easily to serve the wishes of customers with different styles.

This robot system can help solve labor problems in the restaurant industry.

"In the food service industry, the number of workers is very small. You cannot develop a restaurant when there are not enough workers or only new employees. In pizza production, training is required. get the right formula and the right ratio , " says Wood.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for cooks will increase 6% in the next 10 years, which means restaurants will need more than 1 million cooks.

The Picnic CEO said the company made pizza with this product at Las Vegas' T-Mobile park and recently also partnered with a local restaurant in Seattle.
