On July 3-7, scientists of the International Conservation Fund (WWF) and International Conservation Organization (CI) discovered the largest population of gray-shanked douc langur ever in Que Phuoc district. (Quang Nam).
At least 116 gray-shanked douc langurs are found, but scientists estimate the number of populations will be even greater.
Biologist Ben Rawson, who specializes in CI wildlife research, said: 'If this is in the context of human life, this finding could be like finding a new country. with a population of more than 1 billion people '.
According to scientists, less than 1,000 individuals survived, and so far only one population of more than 100 individuals has ever been found.
