Discovering Thien Duong bird in Lao Cai

One person in Lao Cai province caught a bird with a blue head, white body hair, which according to the expert is Thien Duong bird.

Mr. Hoang Van Linh, in Luong Son commune, Bao Yen district, said he saw the "strange" bird appear in the bamboo bush near his house a few days ago. After that, he and some people chased him but could not, had to wait until evening, Mr. Linh caught it to catch it, the Discovery page reported.

The bird has a blue head, the entire body is white but the tail is black. In particular, it has a long tail about 40cm.

According to many local people, they have never seen a bird like that appear in this area. Some others say, they have seen similar species appear but hair color is not the same as the bird he catches.

Talking to PV, animal expert, Professor Vo Quy affirmed that this is a bird with the Vietnamese name Thien Duong , scientific name is Terpsiphone paradisi .

"They have the same white fur that the people in Lao Cai catch, but there are also dark brown species. The male has a long tail, and the female has a short tail. The Heavenly bird lives popularly in our forest. " Professor Quy said.

Radiovietnam quoted Le Trong Trai, who works for the International Bird Protection Organization (BirdLife International), saying that it is a bird of the Flycatcher family. According to Trai, the bird in the picture is an adult male named Asian Paradise-flycatcher Terpsiphone paradisi .
