According to Dr. Nguyen Thuy Linh, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, chicken and duck meat have many nutritional values, depending on your needs and preferences to choose accordingly.

Chicken is rich in protein. According to Vietnam Nutrition Ingredients Table, in 100 g chicken contains 199 kcalo, 20.3 g protein, 4.3 g fat and many vitamins and minerals that are good for health. There are about 75 mg of cholesterol in 100 g of chicken.

Duck meat is not as popular as chicken but the nutritional content is higher . In Oriental medicine, duck meat is considered as a tonic to regulate the five organs, beneficial effects, except heat and damage. In 100 grams of duck meat, there are 267 calories, 7.3 grams of fat, 17.8 grams of protein, 76 mg of cholesterol, vitamins and fat.

"Chicken is tender, easier to digest than duck meat", Dr. Linh emphasized. Chicken is a very useful dish for those who are sick, need to replenish energy for the body to promote metabolism. Chicken breasts are also suitable for people who are on a diet high in phosphorus, which is beneficial for teeth and bones.

Welded duck meat should be used for cooling and detoxification. In duck meat, protein, iron, calcium, vitamins A, B1, D . are beneficial for lean people who want to gain weight. However, duck meat is tough and hard to digest so the elderly and children are limited to eating.

Taboo:

  • Positive people who are weak and cold are not sure to eat duck meat.
  • Chicken skin and egg whites are high in fat and cholesterol, so people with high blood pressure, cardiovascular should be limited.
  • Do not eat poorly preserved meat and unclear origins.
