Eating too many of these things can cause cancer to form 100 times faster
An unhealthy diet has recently been shown to cause cancer to form 100 times faster than usual.
According to a recent study from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), there are foods that will speed up the formation and development of cancer up to 100 times. That's when your diet has too many foods that make cholesterol - also known as blood fat.
This is the first time science has come up with a mechanism to make cholesterol actually increase the risk of rectal cancer, while also providing a new ray of hope to create drugs to prevent it.
Foods high in cholesterol can increase the risk of cancer by up to 100 times.
UCLA experts discovered the harmful effects of cholesterol while studying for treatment. And now, they are continuing to confirm whether other cancers are affected by blood cholesterol levels.
"We were stunned to discover the effect of cholesterol on intestinal stem cells. They speeded up the division process, thereby increasing the rate of cancer formation here up to 100 times." Dr. Peter Tontonoz from UCLA University.
"There was some connection between cholesterol and colorectal cancer before, but no one has ever explained the mechanism behind this."
In fact, cholesterol is an important component for every human membrane. They are produced by the liver, and are the basis for other compounds, as well as to help the cell membrane be softer and more stable.
But when cholesterol is too high, it cannot be transported through the circulatory system, they become "bad cholesterol" in the form of lipoproteins (fatty protein - LDL). This is the culprit that increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and this is the risk of cancer.
The rate at which tumors form in mice increases dramatically when eating too much cholesterol-rich foods.
To get results, experts have done experiments on mice, feeding them a diet rich in cholesterol, along with some genetic adjustments to produce more cholesterol than usual. The results showed that the rate of cancer tumors also appeared with extremely strong growth rate.
Currently, scientists are still debating the application of research. If cholesterol is responsible for increasing the likelihood of causing cancer, so are the cholesterol-breaking drugs such as statins (drugs for people with heart attacks and strokes)?
However, the consequences of cholesterol are real. Experts from the US National Health Department warn high saturated foods can raise blood cholesterol. Limit foods like:,, fat . and replace with unsaturated fat found in avocados and nuts such as peanuts .

It is known that according to statistics from the US National Bureau of Statistics, colorectal cancer is a real social burden. In the UK in 2016 alone, at least 11.5% of 303,135 new cases of cancer are colorectal cancer.
The study was published in the journal Cell Stem Cell.
