Einstein's theory of space-time curvature
Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity states that space and time are linked into one
Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity suggests that space and time are linked into a "fabric", subject to the influence of massive objects.
What is general relativity?
General relativity is a geometric theory of gravity published by physicist Albert Einstein in 1915 and is currently considered the most successful descriptive theory of gravity in modern physics.
General relativity unifies special relativity and Newton's law of universal gravitation, and describes gravity (the gravitational field) as a geometric property of space and time, or spacetime. In particular, the curvature of spacetime is closely related to the energy and momentum of matter and radiation. This relationship is determined by Einstein's field equations, a nonlinear system of partial differential equations.
