El Nino is one of the most catastrophic weather events in humans for over 5,000 years. Today, the El Nino phenomenon appears more often and its destructive power is also more intense. El Nino causes changes in weather such as floods, storms and droughts.

Last appearance in 2006-2007, El Nino caused drought in Australia and flooding in South America. The weather reversal is not confined to the South Pacific region but spread to European and African countries and many other regions around the globe.
