The Ariane 5 rocket has launched the two Skynet 5D telecommunications satellites of the British Ministry of Defense and Mexsat Bicentenario of the Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transport at 4: 49 minutes (Hanoi time).

Skynet 5D telecommunications satellite manufactured by European Aerospace Company Astrium Satellites, has the function of securing communications with the UK Department of Defense and member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Skynet 5D is the eighth satellite in the Skynet family, launched into space by Ariane rocket, with a shelf life of 15 years.

Mexsat Bicentenario telecommunications satellite, made in the United States, has the function of securing communications on Mexican territory. Mexsat Bicentenario is Mexico's fifth satellite launched into space thanks to Ariane rocket, with a shelf life of 16 years.

This is the seventh launch and also the last launch of Ariane 5 rocket this year.

This year, the European Aerospace Company Arianespace made 10 launches at Kourou space airport; of which seven Ariane 5 heavy rocket launchers, two Russian "Soyuz" missile launchers and one "Vega" missile launch of Europe.
