Evidence of water once flowing on Mars

Round stones look like gravel on Mars.

Dr. Dawn Sumner, a geologist at the University of California (USA), said that the stones were discovered by Curiosity probe formed more than 2 billion years ago. Conditions on Mars at the time of formation of stones were completely different from the dry and cold conditions on the current red planet.

'Ancient pebbles show that liquid streams once flowed on the surface of Mars. The finding also suggests that the environment's ability to live may have existed on the red planet, " NASA scientists said.

In another study related to the discovery of Mars, astronauts were warned that they could be affected by radiation if they wanted to approach the surface of the red planet in future missions. The warning was made by scientists after they analyzed the data from radioactive measuring devices (RAD) on Curiosity probes.

'Mars' radiation levels are similar to those of a full-body CT scan 5 to 6 days a week. So understanding the radiation environment in the spacecraft carrying people to Mars and other places in space is very important to the success of space exploration missions , 'said Dr. Cary Zeitlin. , from Southwest Research Institute (USA), said.
