US scientists have discovered the defense mechanism of bacteria. This mechanism allows bacteria to protect themselves against the threat of antibacterial substances. Researchers hope to find ways to increase the effectiveness of current antibacterial substances.

According to the study, bacteria are able to produce NO to help them limit some of the effects of antimicrobial substances. Restricting the synthesis of NO to create bacteria will be a new step to help us prevent infectious diseases.

Experts warn that antibacterial ' resistant ' synthetic substances, such as MRSA, are a major danger, and we need to find new antibacterial substances that can limit them.

The most recent study at the University of New York, the United States also showed the formation of ' resistance ' to bacterial NO bacteria. They also discovered that enzymes produce NO to counteract the presence of antimicrobial substances. NO substances reduce the effect of drugs, they are able to balance the compounds in antibacterial drugs. Research has also shown that antibacterial drugs will have fewer side effects if we limit the production of NO bacteria.
