The beloved shark caught the nets of Lochlainn Kelly, an Australian fisherman, and Mike, Lochlainn's father, at a depth of 609m, when the two were fishing off the Victorian coast, Daily Mail reported.
It has a large belly in pink, gray fins, sharp nose and sharp teeth.
This is an extremely rare goblin shark. They like darkness and often appear at a depth of about 1,200m under the ocean. Many fishermen call them "vampire sharks" by scary shapes.
"I was surprised and happy to see the fish. I have seen them on photos and this is the first time I have seen them with my own eyes , " Lochlainn told SHM.
"People often see sharks of goblins in undersea cables," said McMaster, an expert with Sapphire Marine Research Center.
Many people think that the fish is about 2-3 years old because its body length is 1.2m.Meanwhile, an adult goblin shark has a length of 3-4 meters.
