Two physicists from Brigham Young University, Utah, USA are worthy of being included in the list of candidates for the 2014 IgNobel Prize (the "first prize makes people laugh, then makes them think") because research works on . standard "urination" for men to avoid being shot dirty.

In the summary of the reasons for choosing research topics, two physicists Todd Truscott and Randy Hurd revealed: "Responding to harsh and repetitive criticism from our mothers as well as many relationships. With women failing, we learned about the dynamical characteristics of male urine splashes. "

According to two US researchers, the amount of urine splashed a lot when men "deal with sadness" , and that fact makes the men consider the urination to stand.

They fired colored water streams into different types of urinals or toilets with the same speed and pressure as what happened during men 's urination. Using a high-speed camcorder, the team recorded the entire collision moment and splashed the liquid in the most detailed way.

Hurd said most of the male urine splashes were due to "Plateau-Rayleigh instability effect" , causing the fluid to flow quickly to turn into countless droplets. "By the time the urine stream reached the urinal, it had turned into a droplet and these droplets were the culprit who splashed on gentlemen's pants , " Mr. Hurd said.

Mr. Hurd and his colleague Truscott discovered that each drop of liquid when falling fell into a small hole, allowing the next droplet to pass through and create its own hole, leading to a series of holes. Splashes occur when liquid droplets collide with the water surface as well as when a hole collapses.

The two researchers even discovered that men would inevitably avoid getting dirty on their bodies if they chose to . urinate to sit, instead of standing like today. However, for gentlemen who do not like "solving sadness" like women, they still draw "standard" urination techniques to avoid getting dirty.
