Good cooling water for children in the hot season

Water is essential for the body's biological reactions, helping the body develop and adapt to the impact from the external environment. In tropical regions like Vietnam, due to the hot and humid climate, the amount of sweat emitted is large, the amount of body water lost every day is about 1.8-2 liters.

Every day children need to drink about 50-60ml of water per kilogram of body weight. The demand for drinking water increases in some cases such as excessive sweating after physical activity or during the hot summer weather.

Criteria for choosing soft drinks for children should adhere to the following principles:

  1. Any kind of beverage for children to drink should ensure food safety and hygiene standards.
  2. Not too sweet because it contains a lot of sugar will make a child feel full or "flat" that affects the main meals.
  3. Do not mix chemical colors because it can harm the health of children. If you need eye-catching soft drinks, parents can choose natural juices.
  4. Drinks for children must be appropriate for their age. Children 0-6 months of age should breastfeed completely do not need to drink any other water because breastmilk contains an abundance of water. The age of weaning from 6-12 months old in addition to the main meal can give children more cold boiled water, soup, porridge or some fresh fruit juices that children love depending on water shortage of children. Children aged 1 year or older can drink any type of water that adults use.

Soft drinks are recommended for good health

As recommended by nutrition experts, parents should choose to offer children drinks of natural origin for easy search and good health, can choose the following types:
