He: warns a kind of animal brain disease that can infect humans
The British Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned about a new brain disease in animals that can infect humans. According to FSA, this new encephalopathy has symptoms similar to the classic Scrapie disease, a devastating disease from the brain that once spread.
FSA recommends that the public be cautious when using lamb, goat and other types of sausages. FSA has updated the guidelines for owners of food stores in the UK about the risk of new brain disease and has officially asked the European Commission to immediately apply new labeling regulations across the European Union. Europe lets consumers easily identify products containing lamb and goat meat.
