On November 19, the Carnival Liberty yacht with nearly 700 noro-virus passengers arrived at Everglades near Fort Lauderdale, Florida after a transatlantic voyage. Currently 14 passengers and 5 crew members are isolated.

In 16 days, more than 530 guests and 140 crew members had similar symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

As soon as the yacht docked, some passengers left the ship in wheelchairs while escorts had to wear blue gloves to avoid infection.

Initial test results determine the source of the disease is noro-virus is very infectious. Some passengers were infected with the virus before boarding the ship on November 3 in Rome.

Noro-virus is a group of viruses that cause symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain. The disease lasts 1 or 2 days without leaving long-term health consequences.
