Identify laptops of type two and three

All imported goods from the manufacturer have a computer case. Shipments of type two and three are always indicated by the outside of the cardboard box: Refurbished or Reconditioned, but upon arrival

All imported goods from the manufacturer have a computer case. The second and third shipments are always marked by the outside of the cardboard box: Refurbished or Reconditioned, but when it comes to the buyer, the notes are lost.

When the goods come in and go to the buyer, many sealed boxes are not intact due to the goods inspection and other causes. But it is worth mentioning that most of the second-class ( Refurbished ) and third-class ( Reconditioned ) goods are hidden, not letting buyers know. The product packaging is redone, contained in Vietnamese cardboard boxes or another laptop box. Of course, there are no notes of products of type two or three.

The first thing that the buyer can check for himself is to have the same information on the camera body and outside the carton, such as serial (Part Number, Service Tag), machine configuration . If there is a problem different, which means that the box is not inside. In this case, the buyer should refuse to receive the goods or ask the seller to have the same information as the laptop.

If not really secure, the buyer can verify the serial number (Part Number, Service Tag) of the machine on the laptop manufacturer's website for information about the type. Each laptop has its own Part Number, Service Tag, which does not overlap with any product.

According to experts, some firms have their own conventions in serial numbering to identify goods of type two and three. Like Toshiba, they often add at the end of the Part Number number line (written below the computer) the letter B indicates that it is a second and Z type row if it is a third row.

For example, 100% finished product (first class) has Part Number is PSAFOU_01P009; if it is the second type, there will be Part Number, PSAFOU_01P009B; Third category will be PSAFOU_01P009Z. However, the way to type Part Number of Toshiba laptop is not uniform for all models. Each model of Toshiba has a way to write different Part Number to classify goods. Some of the most common lines of this type are the Satellite, Satellite Pro, Tecra.

HP laptop manufacturer manages second and third categories with Part Number according to a uniform convention for all models. Unlike Toshiba, the number and word sequence of Part Number will have the R in front of it # if it is the second row.

For example, HP's first-class product has a Part Number which is RK573AA # ABA, its second-class product will be RK573AAR # ABA.

Lenovo then added the last three letters of REF to distinguish it from the second category. For example, Lenovo's first-class product has a Part Number of 2887W1F, then the second category will be 288W1F-REF. Some HP Pavilion lines and Compaq's Presario have many products in the second category.

Particularly, Dell does not apply the above service tag recording method. Therefore, the buyer can only verify information on its website, at: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support. Dell's Inspiron line is one of the series with many second-class products.

Not all of the manufacturer's models have the second and third category, but only on certain models. So, before buying a laptop, users should go online to find information about the type they are buying to see if they have a second category.

You can look up information about the product classification of factories from Toshiba, Sony, IBM, HP, Lenovo at: www.shopping.hp.com; www.toshibadirect.com; www.ibm.com; www.sony.com; www.directron.com/r512887w1fref.html.

However, the above measures only help users to check products of any kind when they are brought to the market by the manufacturer. In case of faulty, or used equipment, refurbished or closed by retail companies in Vietnam (even from abroad) and then launched to the market, deliberately misleading customers, the above measures are invalid.

Some companies even import goods that have changed the configuration to suit the needs and pockets of users (competing with prices and promotions), or re-boasting genuine products of the first grade. but used.
