Integrate AIM message to AOL Mail

AOL has officially integrated AIM messaging into AOL Mail's interface and added more advanced features to compete with rivals Yahoo and Google.

AIM (IM) multimedia messaging on the web will also act as a desktop application before. The account's friends contact list will display as a card in the right column when logging in to check email.

When clicking on a nickname, a popup window will appear, the conversation will become a new card.

AOL is also developing a function to convert AIM message conversations into email and store conversations in folders on the mail account.

The trend of integrating messages into email will help users to check email and chat with people who are online. AOL will end the upgrade and officially release a new version of AOL Mail (which has integrated AIM) later this summer.

The AOL Mail (Cayman) interface has integrated AIM messaging on the web.
