Initially, during the pilot phase, robots' teachers will participate in 'high school' classes at some schools in Masan and Daejon, from now until February next year. This is one of the latest efforts of the country's education sector in applying scientific advances to support the improvement of teaching and learning. The goal of the project is firstly aimed at students in the local area.

To implement the project, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea introduced two types of robots, one capable of self-recognition, one capable of presenting lectures remotely, through teacher control. . They can help teachers communicate with students through a camera and an integrated microphone.

According to Xinhua, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology is responsible for implementing the plan, with financial support from the government. Approximately 400 million won (US $ 337,000) has been settled to carry out research and development of technology in related fields.
