Lenovo recalls 100,000 laptop battery packs

On March 1, Chinese computer maker Lenovo recalled about 100,000 laptop batteries because they thought they were in danger of fire and fire.

This is the second laptop battery recall in the past 6 months of the world's third largest computer company. The battery recall is mainly related to battery products manufactured by Sanyo Electric (Japan). There have been 4 reports of an explosion of this type of battery, in which one person suffered minor injuries to the eye.

According to Lenovo's warning, users should immediately stop using the products on the recall list this time because the battery may overheat if the laptop is dropped in some way.

In September 2006, IBM and Lenovo said both companies are seeking to recall Sony's 526,000 lithium-ion batteries equipped for ThinkPad laptops after a fire at Los Angeles International Airport. Lenovo acquired IBM China in May 2005.

Lenovo's first battery recall is part of a global battery recall by many manufacturers for 10 million battery packs made by Sony, used for laptops from Apple, Dell, Lenovo .
