For human health, light pollution is also a serious threat. Many studies show that excessive lighting, inappropriate light colors cause sleep disturbances, headaches, fatigue, nervous stress, impaired sexual ability.

Many reputable medical organizations in the US and WHO also warned about the risk of abusing light at night to increase the risk of breast cancer. Glare (the contrast between the bright and dark areas in sight), one of the manifestations of light pollution is an important cause of traffic accidents.
