In 3 days, heavy rains have poured down most of the northern mountainous region, popular rainfall 100-200 mm, some places over 300 mm. Large floods have appeared in many places, the focus is on Bac Kan province.
According to the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control, by the end of July 5, the North had 22 people dead. In particular, Bac Kan alone died 13 people, 10 missing. More than 500 houses were dumped, flooded or drowned. Traffic, irrigation and agriculture were also seriously affected.

At the belly of Pac Nam district (Bac Kan), flooding caused thousands of cubic meters of land to erode, dozens of houses were buried. 13 deaths in Bac Kan are in this district. Flooding also makes the road 258B from Ba Be to Pac Nam severely congested. By the afternoon of July 5, traffic from the center of Pac Nam district to Cong Bang and Nhan Mon communes remained stagnant.

Northern mountainous provinces continue to evacuate people from areas at risk of flash floods and landslides; organize search and rescue missing people and cure injured people.
Today, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Dao Xuan Hoc will approach Nhan Mon commune (Pac Nam and Bac Kan districts) - where the most severely affected people - to guide and deal with the consequences flood rain.
