Although the heart stopped for 40 minutes, Caleb still had a miraculous recovery

Revealed on ABC News , Dr. Corey Philpot of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, a first-aid person for Caleb, said, "He literally died and technical definition when he was admitted to the hospital."

Caleb's mother found her son lying face down on the family's outdoor swimming pool. Hearing her crying cry, a neighbor ran over and performed CPR. However, the baby's heart was completely stopped and Caleb was no longer breathing when moved from stretcher to emergency room.

At the hospital, Caleb falls into a coma and must use the ventilator when Dr. Philpot's team starts emergency treatment. The biggest concern of doctors is whether Caleb has a long-term brain injury because of 'clinical death' for so long.

Therefore, doctors used heat-relieving therapy, brought Caleb's body temperature down to about $ 10 C and switched to a mode like 'hibernation' to prevent brain damage.

After 24 hours, they began heating and returning heat to Caleb. Four days passed and the doctors found that their baby's heart condition began to improve.

'The boy had an incredible recovery. She starts moving, and then movements become clear. Then she opened her eyes , "recalled Dr. Philpot.

'The doctor said that during his 23 years of work, he had never encountered a case like this, the same did not exist,' the boy's father recounted on ABC 15.
