More Bac Giang and Hai Phong appear avian influenza
The report of the Department of Animal Health (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) in the afternoon of May 25 said that there were more Bac Giang and Hai Phong outbreaks of bird flu, bringing the number of provinces and cities having translated since the beginning. May to now up to eight (formerly Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Son La, Nam Dinh, Can Tho and Dong Thap).
Not only Bac Giang, Hai Phong, but the past days still continue to appear, spread in Quang Ninh and Nam Dinh. Especially, the outbreak has spread to districts in the province, and not only waterfowl, but more and more chickens have been infected.
Facing widespread bird flu situation, the Prime Minister has sent a letter requesting local People's Committees, ministries and functional agencies to seriously review the epidemic outbreak again and at the same time concentrate on direct implementation of measures to prevent bird flu and influenza A H5N1 in humans.
