Mysterious yellow frog in England

Animal experts were confused when they identified the yellow frogs in a cold valley in England.

Steve Atkin, a 55-year-old man in the city of Derby in central England, spotted four golden frogs in the aisle behind his home. Because they didn't move, Atkin initially thought they were toys, but he was shocked to touch them, Caters News reported.

"I told my wife and she told me to save them. So I put them in a bowl and brought them into the house. We don't know which frogs they belong to. One of the four died. I want to give them to A person is able to identify their origin , " Aktin said.

Atkin sent photos and videos of frogs to the Derby Nature Protection Organization, but the scientists of the organization could not identify their identities.

Chris Wood, a member of Derby's Nature Protection Organization, said he asked experts in Manchester city to identify the animal. He is concerned that they may threaten native animals.

"Certainly this is an alien animal. We do not know their origin, but we are worried that they may cause unpredictable consequences for British species , " Wood said.

The Museum of Natural History and London Animal Association predicts that Atkin's frogs belong to Xenopus laevis frog in Africa. Each of the frog's hind legs Xenopus laevis has three claws for them to rip. Their body length can reach 10cm and they are often kept in the house. Xenopus laevis frog lives for a long time. Their lifespan can be up to 20-30 years in captivity.
