Researchers at Brunel University in the UK have invented a type of heart pump that can be inserted into people with cardiovascular disease without opening the chest.
This new generation pump is tiny in size: 4mm and 10cm wide, without wires and operated by a small battery pack attached to the skin. When introduced into the body, it helps the heart to recover from the pressure and injects blood that has been oxygenated to other organs in the body, improving the circulation of the heart's own muscles.
This pump helps prolong the lives of patients with severe heart disease. Experts only need to make a small incision in the patient's groin to bring this pump to the aorta.
Soon this amazing pump will be sold on the market.
