In the poorest regions of the world, the use of kerosene lamps for night lighting is still widespread, which not only increases the risk of fire but also emits toxic smoke that pollutes the environment. Therefore, a solar lamp is a reasonable solution, such as NOMAD photovoltaic.

Developed by O-Sun (Belgium), NOMAD lamps are similar to previous generations such as Solar Pebble, LuminAID, Sollight and Wakawaka, but have many more advantages. NOMAD is not only suitable for households in developing countries but also for field trips.
The lamp is simply designed with one button and the level of illumination. When fully charged, if the brightest mode is selected, it can operate continuously for 6 hours, if you choose the fade mode, you can use 35 hours. Protected by a silicon disc so that it can be placed firmly on the ground without affecting the illumination, the lamp can be disassembled into multiple components for easy mobility. The solar charger can be detached and mounted on the wall or mounted on the metal frame of the picnic tent. In addition, the lamp is equipped with a cable to charge the computer's USB port.
NOMAD uses LED technology that has a longer lifespan than other types, and is designed with shock-resistant rings to prevent damage from falling or impact. The housing is made of environmentally friendly materials such as ABS and recycled packaging.
According to Gizmag magazine, the NOMAD lamp will be on sale in September this year for $ 125. In addition, the company is seeking support from non-governmental organizations and credit institutions to lower prices for developing countries.
