Oracle joins the race in the search market

Picture 1 of Oracle joins the race in the search market Yesterday, software maker Oracle launched a new enterprise-branded search software.

According to analysts, Oracle's new software will be "a barrel of oil" pouring into Google's already-hot search market.

Oracle's Secure Enterprise Search software aims to assist businesses and organizations in finding information across the entire database of resources, email systems or other business software.

Larry Ellison - Oracle's executive director - officially introduced the software on the Japanese market yesterday. The new move of this database software business aims to narrow the gap with Google - which dominates the online search market and is on the way to dominate the market share of search software on PC by Google Desktop Search product.

" Google does not do well in the search for personal information but in return Google is very capable of finding public data sources - the World Wide Web. But what our new product can do "Search is not what Google finds. It's personal data ," Ellison stressed.

The executive chairman emphasized that this will be Oracle's biggest product this year - a testament to the growing importance of the search market.

Other companies, such as Microsoft or Yahoo, have launched and updated their own search products to target Google.

In addition, our products are integrated with security solutions to ensure that users only have access to the data they see, Ellison stressed.

Oracle's new search engine will be officially launched in May. Currently Oracle has not announced the price of this product.
