Ozone holes appear in the North Pole
According to scientists, ozone holes have recently appeared in the Arctic region. At an altitude of about 20km from the ground, ozone concentrations decreased by 80%.

The cause of this situation is said to be the influence of low temperature . Under these conditions, ozone-degrading compounds (chlorine compounds) will be most active.
Ozone decomposers derived from substances such as chlorofluorocarbon ( CFC for short) were used in the late twentieth century to be used in refrigerators and fire equipment. CFC has been shown to cause ozone holes in Antarctica.
The use of CFC has been restricted and banned completely since 1987 by the Montreal Protocol and enforcement documents.
Michelle Santee - NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)) said that in the winter the stratosphere temperature of the Arctic varies greatly. There are quite warm winters, very cold seasons. However, in the last few decades, winter in the Arctic stratosphere is getting colder.
Data on ozone depletion in the Arctic were published in April 2011, but the Nature magazine was the first to be full of analysis of this hole.
The ozone layer prevents ultraviolet rays from allowing these rays to penetrate the earth's atmosphere. Ultraviolet rays are the cause of skin cancer and many other diseases.
