Phone waves help improve memory

One study found that phone waves can prevent and reverse dementia in mice.
'We were surprised to find that exposure to mobile phone waves helps mice block Alzheimer's symptoms , ' said Gary Arendash, a scientist at the Alzheimer's Research Center in Florida, USA. - stated.
Arendash and his colleagues mutated genes in some female mice to give birth to 96 mice that would surely get Alzheimer's disease by adulthood. When the "Alzheimer's" mice were born, the team divided them into two groups. A group lives in an environment with cell phone electromagnetic waves from birth within an hour each day. The second group was exposed to electromagnetic waves two months later than the other group (when the signs of dementia appeared in their brains).
Experts also exposed a group of healthy mice to electromagnetic waves to consider the effect of waves on their memory.

After 9 months, the team studied mouse brain scans. The results showed that electromagnetic waves' purify 'beta-amyloid plaques, a protein that causes Alzheimer's disease, in genetically modified children' s brains.
Scientists for rats perform memory tests for them. They found that the memory of the "Alzheimer's" group of mice was exposed to electromagnetic waves from birth to the equivalent of healthy mice.
The disappearance of beta-amyloid plaques in the "Alzheimer's" group of mice exposed to electromagnetic waves more than two months later showed that electromagnetic waves helped them to recover from the disease.
The memory capacity of normal mice also increased after 9 months of exposure to electromagnetic waves.
The team thinks that electromagnetic radiation causes a slight increase in the temperature in the rat's brain. The rise in temperature helps brain cells push out beta-amyloid plaques more easily.
Arendash and colleagues speculated that cell phone waves could have a similar effect on the human brain. If their prediction is correct, we will have a new way to prevent and treat diseases that cause memory impairment. However, not all research results in mice are true for humans. So scientists need to conduct other tests to prove that cell phone waves can help people stop Alzheimer's disease.
The impact of electromagnetic waves on dementia in mice only occurs after months. Therefore, according to experts, the same impact in people (if any) only takes place after a few years.
The results of Arendash's study were published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease (Journal of Alzheimer's Disease) on January 6.
The role of mobile phone electromagnetic waves for brain cancer remains a controversial issue in the scientific world. Although some studies show that electromagnetic waves do not cause brain cancer, the World Health Organization and the US National Institutes of Health are still considering this issue. In the midst of a controversy, many countries have issued documents instructing people how to use their mobile phones, such as not letting children touch them.
