8x engineer Pham Son restored portraits of 10 famous 20th century poets such as Xuan Quynh, Han Mac Tu, To Huu using AI technology .

Pham Son, born in 1980, is a telecommunications and television technology engineer who has worked in the industry for nearly 20 years. He said that AI technology is now widely used in many fields. After helping the military command in Bac Ninh province restore 40 traditional house photos, he came up with the idea of ​​creating portraits of his favorite poets using AI technology for entertainment purposes.

Pham Son chose typical Vietnamese poets of the 20th century such as: Xuan Quynh, Che Lan Vien, Tan Da, Nguyen Khuyen, Phan Boi Chau, Han Mac Tu, Xuan Dieu, To Huu, Huy Can, Quang Dung.

He said they were famous people he loved and had poems associated with his school days.

The engineer did not expect that when he posted the photos on a small group about AI technology on April 18, the photos would attract attention and be shared by people on social networks.

"Many people have texted me asking about the technique and followed it. This is not too difficult for those who love technology and have basic knowledge of IT ," said Pham Son.

According to the engineer from Binh Dinh, depending on the quality of the input photos, the restoration time will be fast or slow. With good quality photos, it only takes him three minutes to complete.
