PostgreSQL database application users are facing a very uncomfortable situation due to a serious security hole in this application itself.

According to the developer, the newly discovered security vulnerability could be exploited to attack SQL Injection and affect every version of the PostgrSQL database application.

However, if users install the newly released patch last week, their application will be corrupted.

PostgreSQL Josh key programmer, Berkus, confirmed that six PostgrSQL programmers are working hard to make a new patch without affecting applications in the next four weeks.

However, PostgreSQL application programmers use multi-byte encryption such as SJIS, BIG5, GBK, GB18030 and UHC to be lucky because they only have to fix their applications slightly so that it is compatible with security patches. They just need to remove non-standard characters like 'slash' .

Berkus also said that because the patch update affects operating functions on the client system, PostgrSQL administrators will need to install new drivers. It is expected that the new version of application drivers will be released in the next few days.
