Read the secret of blood

Scientists from the National Geographic magazine in collaboration with anthropologist Theodore Schurr and colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania implemented a five-year project to analyze DNA samples from many Different indigenous groups in North America.

The data collected will help resolve long-standing debates about when and how the first person arrived in America.

"The story of human ancestors is written on DNA samples such as A, C, G and T", Spencer Wells, director of the social genetic decoding project of National Geographic magazine. This project will analyze DNA from tens of thousands of people to understand how the prehistoric people settled on this earth.

Other researchers will try to focus on understanding migration patterns in the rest of the world. However, whether this project is successful depends on the cooperation of the indigenous groups here and the outside groups. The DNA of these tribes will shed light on many simple facts about human origins in different locations, at least for a short period of time.

In the early 1990s, geneticist Luca Cavalli-Sforza of Stanford University and colleagues conducted the Human Genetic Analysis Project (HGDP) with the same purposes. However, this plan has encountered many obstacles as indigenous groups fear that their DNA findings may be used to reveal their origins. In this project, scientists will use the chromosomal analysis of each person and then be compared with the DNA data obtained from other groups.
