On the same day, the provincial Steering Committee for Disease Control and Prevention met, the Head of the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Animal Diseases in Ninh Thuan province commented: A / H5N1 influenza epidemic in the bird nest in Ninh Thuan is still complicated. There were 5-7 dead birds on the day but the control of epidemics had quite good results.

According to a representative of Yen Viet Company, Nha Trang Pasteur Institute reported that it could be confirmed that the bird sample was positive for H5N1 because of the sampling of live birds and dead birds. Therefore, from April 15, Yen Viet Company will take at least 5 samples a day for the Central Animal Health Sub-Department and RAHO 6 to analyze to have an accurate laboratory.

Some opinion of oats farmers said that bird nest is a species that is quite isolated from other objects, so the opportunity to contact the disease source is very little, except water sources. When it announced the bird nest of H5N1 infected birds, it must go through the steps of sample testing from many different units at home and abroad to get the most accurate and objective results.

The phenomenon of bird nest died massively in Ninh Thuan in the past week, there were 2 bird nest farms infected with H5N1 bird flu virus with dead bird samples. Since then, there has not been found any more farms to raise oats in Ninh Thuan. Although according to the request of RAHO 6, there are enough grounds to announce the epidemic.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hoa, Vice Chairman of the province said: 'If epidemic is announced in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, at least 3 communes and wards will have epidemics. The view of the province is that public health must be at the forefront but careful consideration should be given to the evolution of influenza A / H5N1 in the flock of birds in order to make timely and prescribed decisions'.
