Save the lives of pregnant women deadly on the birth table
Being blocked with amniotic fluid, Ms. Hang suddenly became pale, had difficulty breathing when she was just born and passed away afterwards. The doctors quickly operated to save them. This is considered a rare case of survival in obstetrics.
Ms. Vu Thi Hang, 37 years old in Ham Long, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, was admitted to the Central Obstetrics Hospital at 20:00 on October 18. While lying on the birth table, Ms. Hang told the doctors that she found it difficult to breathe and then her sister became pale.

The baby was born safely and the mother had a positive emergency because of heavy bleeding. Doctors had to quickly remove Ms. Hang's uterus and squeeze her heart out of her chest. After escaping the danger, she was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital because doctors feared she was also facing the risk of blood vessels.
According to Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien, Director of the Central Obstetrics Hospital, amniotic embolism is the disease that makes the people in the obstetrics industry most afraid because it happens quickly and abruptly, making the doctors unable to keep up. It occurs when amniotic fluid spills into the blood during labor, often causing death to pregnant women and the fetus. This complication is very rare in obstetrics but 80% of cases are fatal.
Hang's case is quite rare. She has typical signs of vascular occlusion leading to circulatory collapse and has fallen into a state of clinical death. However, thanks to accurate diagnosis and timely emergency, she escaped the death scythe.
Currently, Ms. Hang is recovering. Her 2.9 kg baby boy no longer had to breathe.
