Researchers from a number of universities in China and New York, USA, found the first experimental evidence of brain changes when loved by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Research group with 100 students of Southwest University in Chongqing, China. They are divided into three groups based on relationship status, including the group in love, the new parting group and the single group. Participants were asked not to think about anything when taking a brain scan.

The results of the brain resonance scan show that the activity is stronger in some areas of the brain related to reward, motivation, emotional regulation, social awareness network . For the group in love, the activity level of some brain regions may be related to the time of love. For the new parting group, the longer they break up, the lower their activity in these brain regions.

According to scientists, this result will shed light on the mechanism of love and can open the way to use brain capture methods like love meters. The study was published in Frontiers in Human Neroscience.
