RegenTec (UK) has developed an injectable powder that can shorten the process of fracture treatment. The powder fills the gap of broken bones as a porous bone, helping the patient to maintain activity, contributing to natural bone regeneration.

The 'injected bone' is a mixture of polylactic and ceramic and acid, which looks like white powder. When injected, the body temperature makes these two components blend together. 'Injected bone' does not permanently replace the natural bone, but only gives the body time to heal itself. This product can replace metal nails currently used in surgery.
