- Dr. Tran Ngoc Bao: In today's life, there are many causes of GPUD, the most common cause is due to the subjective lifestyle, not caring about the stomach. Quitting meals, eating improper meals, smoking too much, drinking alcohol regularly are factors that increase the attack force on the stomach causing VLDDTT.

However, in the age of integration, it is difficult for anyone to avoid the most basic disease-causing factor of stress (stress). Stress stimulates gastric parietal cells to release more acid, causing damage to the stomach lining. These causes attack directly on the cells of the gastric mucosa, damage the gastric mucosa and cause GPUD. Moreover, the most important cause of increased attack force caused the disease is H-Pylori bacteria discovered by two Australian doctors Marshall and Warren in 1983.

- Is the prevention and treatment of VLDDTT a H-Pylori eradication process?

- VLDDTT treatment must be aimed at restoring equilibrium, by eliminating attack factors, while enhancing the factor of DDTT mucosal protection.

For patients with GPUD not caused by H-Pylori infection, treatment includes (1) stopping ulcer drugs; (2) anti-ulcer treatment with mucosal drugs, antacids, antacid drugs. As for patients with GPUD caused by H-Pylori infection, the treatment is mainly based on H-Pylori eradication treatment regimens.

Some people have a habit of having a stomach ache when buying immediate antidepressants to relieve pain, so is that true?

Acid neutralizing drugs were previously considered to be the main drugs in the treatment of GPUD. But now it is only used as an adjunct to reduce symptoms of GPUD, such as abdominal pain, indigestion .

However, it is necessary to carefully read the instructions for use and contraindications for the use of the drug, especially for patients with chronic liver and kidney failure.

Novagast is used as a "nutritional support" product during the treatment of patients with gastric ulcer - duodenum.Novagast has acid neutralization, ulcer coating and support to inhibit Helicobacter pylori bacteria.

Antacids, mucous membranes with aluminum salts often cause constipation, whereas magnesium-containing medications often cause diarrhea.

- A recent medical success is the study of Chitosan.

Chitosan is a natural compound, extracted from marine organisms, which has been studied since the 1980s, suggesting the ability to inhibit pepsin and protect the duodenal gastric mucosa should be used for supportive treatment to reduce symptoms of DDTT such as epigastric pain, heartburn, heartburn, indigestion, ulcer coating.
