Storm Tra Mi enters the East Sea today, strange movement direction

It is forecasted that today (October 24), storm Tra Mi will enter the East Sea. Calculation models in Vietnam and internationally show that when approaching the sea of ​​the central provinces of our country, the storm may turn back to the sea. However, there is still a probability that the storm will make landfall directly.

At 1:00 a.m. on October 24 , the storm's eye was on the mainland east of Luzon Island in the Philippines with the strongest winds near the storm's eye at level 9-10 (75-102 km/h), gusting to level 12. In the past hours, the storm has been moving quite quickly in a west-northwest direction at a speed of 15-20 km/h.

Vietnam's and international meteorological agencies share the same opinion that this will be a storm with a strange, complex, and unpredictable path due to the influence of many factors.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that today the storm entered the East Sea, weakening slightly due to friction with the Philippines' Luzon Island . At 1:00 a.m. on October 25 , the storm was located in the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea with a level 9 intensity, gusting to level 11.

The storm then began to intensify again. At 1:00 a.m. on October 26 , when it was about 510 km east of Hoang Sa, the storm intensified to level 10, with gusts of level 12.

By 1am on October 27 , the storm had strengthened to level 11-12, gusting to level 15, while located in the waters north of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The storm's subsequent developments remain complicated.

Regarding the storm's path, the Vietnam Meteorological Agency said that this will be a strange and unpredictable storm. In the next three days, the storm will move mainly in the west and west-northwest direction. When approaching the sea of ​​the central provinces of our country, the storm will be very unpredictable due to the influence of many conditions.

The most likely scenario is that by October 28, when approaching the central coast, the storm will change direction to the southwest, moving back out to sea. However, there is still a chance that the storm will make landfall in the central provinces.

The meteorological agency recommends that people need to constantly update the latest forecasts about storm Tra Mi.

Due to the influence of storm Tra Mi, the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea today has strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm's eye level 8-9 (62-88km/h), gusts of level 11, waves 3-5m high, near the storm's eye 5-7m, very rough seas.

All vessels operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the effects of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.

On the mainland of our country today, the main weather nationwide is little rain and sunny days, except for the Northern region where the night and morning are cold with the lowest temperature of 19-22 degrees, in mountainous areas below 19 degrees, the highest temperature of 29-32 degrees.
