Strange mysterious river water between the Amazon forest

Visitors to Peru will have the opportunity to explore the river of boiling water that exists only in legend.

Growing up in Peru, geothermal scientist Andrés Ruzo since childhood has been told the legend of a river of boiling water in the Amazon region. As an adult, Ruzo wishes to find out if the legendary river exists. As a graduate student in geological physics at Southern Methodist University, Ruzo has worked on a project to create a detailed geothermal map of Peru, including the Amazon area to clarify whether the boiling river has really exists in this area.

Colleagues are skeptical about Ruzo's idea, because they think it needs huge geothermal heat to boil water on a short stretch of river. Meanwhile, the Amazon basin is located hundreds of kilometers away from active volcanoes. Even the essay instructor of Andrés Ruzo also called his idea "silly". But in 2011, geothermal scientists finally proved that the boiling water river actually existed in the Mayantuyacu therapy area , deep in the forest in Peru and governed by a powerful magician.

"As a geothermal scientist, I know that a river of boiling water often exists near volcanoes. You need a lot of energy to heat water in the river," Ruzo writes in National Geographic magazine. "In Peru, the boiling water river of the Amazon region is about 650 km away from the volcano." The river of boiling water in the Amazon is known by the locals as "Shanay-timpishka". It is nearly 6.5 km long, 25m wide and 6m deep, while the water temperature ranges from 49 to 91 degrees Celsius and water in some real boiling positions. Animals die quickly when they fall into the river.
