Successfully built a rescue ship that runs in a level 12 storm

The ship symbolized ST-168 is a product of the Naval Engineering Institute and Company 189 (General Department of Defense Industry - Ministry of Defense), was launched on December 10.

The ship is perfected by advanced technologies and materials in the world, it is worth mentioning that it can operate under severe wind and storm conditions.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dieu - Deputy Director of 189 Company, said: The rescue ship is equipped with a dry-suction and fire-fighting system to ensure efficient operation. The capacity of the rescuers is up to 30-35 people. The largest speed in deep water reaches 27 nautical miles / hour continuously. The vessel can operate at speeds of 13-14 knots during 48 hours. The ship is operated with two engines and two rudders, capable of turning back to the original position if capsized. The propeller is effectively protected, ensuring stability during an accident.

The hull of the hull is constructed of a specialized aluminum alloy for ships with an enhanced design of longitudinal vertical mechanisms. Aluminum alloy uses ship structure according to European standard type 5083 H112, H116 and 6061-T6. There are 4-6 people living quarters and 8 seats for working officers. The boat is designed to have an all-around range from the cab driver position. To ensure safety, interior materials in the rooms are installed three-layer aluminum alloy panels with high durability, non-conductive, light and easy to repair. Interior ceilings are covered with aluminum alloy punched plates, light and beautiful and easy to repair.

In addition, the ship is sprayed with foam insulation, soundproofing in living areas and covered by fireproofing in engine room area. The ship is insulated, soundproofed, and the structure and installation of the device is especially noted for the purpose of reducing noise and vibration.

Coastal areas in stormy weather often have big waves that overturn ships and boats. Because it is a lifeboat, it is possible to restore the balance and fully operate in the conditions of big waves and well perform the search and rescue mission. With full marine information equipment, ST-168 can coordinate with sea search and rescue aircraft. And the special thing of ST - 168 is its operability, which can operate search and rescue in stormy conditions of level 10 to level 12, waves of level 8 to level 9.

The birth of ST - 168, the product produced by Vietnam has marked a breakthrough in the field of science and technology of our country. Compared to the type of resilience ship that is self-balancing with the same type being built abroad for about VND 76 billion, ST-168 is only VND 24 billion / vessel.
